I got hooked on photography the day I got my Kodak Instamatic with the big blue flashcubes. I captured friends, family, kittens, cars, mailmen, lawnmowers… anything that passed by my suburban Chicago street. Since I was just 7, and a little shy about asking anyone to pose, “spontaneity” became my style.Today the Instamatic is gone, but I still shoot film. While this requires more steps from “shot” to “print,” it lets me create magic in the darkroom with a depth and chromatic range digital photography won’t allow.
Over the years I’ve accumulated a virtual Container Store full of joyful, unguarded moments. Please take a moment to browse through my work.
